CEDAR RAPIDS — Police interviewed Alexander Ken Jackson, 22, in the hospital hours after police arrived to find Jackson’s parents and sister dead in their Cedar Rapids home on June 15, 2021. Jackson was receiving treatment for a gunshot wound to his foot at the time of the interview. Jackson is accused of fatally shooting his father, Jan Perry Jackson, 61; mother Melissa Ferne Jackson, 68; and sister Sabrina Hana Jackson, 19, earlier that morning.

The start of the interview was shown in court Wednesday, June 18. The remainder was shown in sections on Thursday, allowing the jury breaks in the hours-long interview.
