Two injured in Cedar Rapids shooting Tuesday night

CEDAR RAPIDS — Two people were injured in a shooting Tuesday night in the 1500 block of Oakland Road NE.

Police responded to the scene about 11 p.m. after receiving multiple calls for shots fired, according to a news release from the Cedar Rapids Police Department.

Officers found two men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both were treated on-scene and then sent to a hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Police said the shooting appears to be targeted, and they are asking witnesses to come forward with information.
