No injuries were reported after a small trailer came unhitched from a pickup on Interstate 380 and crashed into a fence Wednesday morning, police said.
Lt. Cody Estling said the pickup was southbound between the Glass Road and H Avenue NE exits when the trailer came off. A passer-by reported the crash around 6:43 a.m., and it took more than 20 minutes to find out where the trailer ended up.
The trailer, which was carrying a 500-gallon tank, crashed through a chain-link fence between the interstate and Sierra Drive NE, just south of J Avenue NE. No spills were reported. Department of Transportation workers were on the scene to make repairs to the fence.
