A Mount Vernon woman was arrested last week after she stabbed her boyfriend while threatening to kill him, authorities said.
Deputies were called just after 9:15 p.m. Thursday to a residence at 969 Ivanhoe Circle in rural Mount Vernon for reports of a stabbing. Emergency personnel found Charinea Triggs, 28, and Kevin Gouchee, 58, were involved in an altercation during which Triggs had stabbed Gouchee.
The sheriff’s office said Triggs and Gouchee were involved in an “intimate relationship” and lived together at that residence.

The criminal complaint states Triggs plunged a 12-inch knife into Gouchee’s upper left chest while claiming, “I will kill you.”
Gouchee was taken to a hospital. Triggs was booked into Linn County Jail on Friday, jail records show.
Triggs faces charges of willful injury causing bodily injury and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon (domestic abuse).
