Police investigating shots fired at vehicle in southwest Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS — Police are investigating after shots were fired at a vehicle Wednesday night in southwest Cedar Rapids.
Cedar Rapids police said officers were called just after 6 p.m. to M Street and 13th Avenue SW for a report of shots fired.
Witnesses told police that someone in a vehicle had shot at people in another vehicle.
Police said the shooter missed the target vehicle, and bullets instead hit a residence in the 1300 block of M Street SW.
Shell casings were located in the street and collected as evidence, police said. No arrests have been made.
