Iowa City police are investigating after a female delivery driver said she was robbed while returning to her car over the weekend.
According to a news release from the Iowa City Police Department, the woman had just made a delivery to a residence in the 400 block of North Gilbert Street around 10:15 p.m. Saturday when two men approached her. She told police one of the men displayed a weapon and told her to give them her money, the release said. She was not injured in the alleged incident, and police said the men were last seen riding bicycles westbound down a nearby alley.
The woman described one of the men as a tall black male in his early 20s wearing a gray sweatshirt, and the second man as a tall black male wearing dark clothing, police said.
