MARION — A 24-year-old man is charged with breaking into a woman’s apartment after he attempted to coerce her into a car Tuesday, police said.
Marion police said the incident started when Gabriel Jason Rice of Cedar Rapids was involved in a hit-and-run crash near the intersection of 10th Street and Boyson Road. The other person involved in the crash told police Rice left the scene and entered the Azure apartment complex.
According to a criminal complaint, Rice went to a woman’s apartment, kicked down the door and assaulted her by grabbing her butt and attempting to remove her pants.
