Man has life-threatening injuries after Westdale neighborhood shooting, Cedar Rapids police say

A shooting Saturday night in the Westdale neighborhood left a man with life-threatening injuries, Cedar Rapids police said.
At 11:30 p.m., a caller reported hearing numerous gunshots and seeing someone down on the ground at 4012 21st Ave. SW, according to a CRPD news release.
Police said they found the injured man, secured the scene and interviewed witnesses for the active investigation.

The shooting victim’s name is being withheld.
