Man accused of taking items worth $10,000 from two Cedar Rapids businesses

CEDAR RAPIDS -- An 18-year-old faces multiple charges after police said he burglarized two businesses and stole more than $10,000 worth of items.
Christian Hayes faces charges of first-degree theft, second-degree criminal mischief, and third-degree burglary.
Officers were called Aug. 21 to 224 Northland Ct. NE for a burglaries at This Little Piggy Ultrasound and Corridor Technology Professionals.

Surveillance video and tips submitted through Linn County Crime Stoppers identified Hayes as a suspect, police said.

Officers obtained search warrants and located stolen property and evidence linking Hayes to the burglaries, according to police.
Police said Hayes stole items worth approximately $3,100 from This Little Piggy Ultrasound and $7,000 worth of items from Corridor Technology Professionals.
He was arrested Friday in Marion.
