Man accused of driving while intoxicated with children in car

A Davenport man is accused of child endangerment and operating while intoxicated after police say she had a four-year-old and four-month-old in the car with him while he was under the influence of alcohol.
According to reports from the Coralville Police Department, 60-year-old Aubrey Jordan was driving along the 900 block of Fifth Street in Coralville at 10:30 p.m. Sunday when an officer stopped him for a traffic violation. After coming in contact with the driver, police said Jordan was intoxicated and had two child passengers in the car, and he was in charge of driving them to their home.
The report said Jordan provided a breath sample that showed a blood alcohol content level of .202.
Child endangerment is an aggravated misdemeanor, punishable by up to two years in prison and a maximum fine of $6,250. First-offense OWI is a serious misdemeanor.
