Cedar Rapids police chased a car into Linn County between Highway 30 and Fairfax early Tuesday morning.
The chase began when an officer tried to pull the car over because it had an incorrect license plate. The car didn't stop, and led police on what they're calling a "non-high speed" chase.
The car entered a gravel road in Linn County, where officers lost track of it. They later found the abandoned car in a ditch.
A K-9 officer from the Linn County Sheriff's Office helped officers search for the suspect, but the search was called off around 5:30 a.m.
