Iowa City man arrested after February shots-fired outside Pints bar
U.S. Marshals Service arrested him in Boulder, Colo.

An Iowa City man was arrested in Boulder, Colo., on Wednesday by the U.S. Marshals Service in connection with a shots-fired incident in Iowa City in February, according to an Iowa City Police Department news release.
Kemonte D. Brown, 27, is accused of shooting once at a group of people outside Pints bar just after midnight Feb. 26. He faces charges of going armed with intent, reckless use of a firearm, person ineligible to carry dangerous weapons and intimidation with a dangerous weapon.
According to a criminal complaint, Brown was involved in a fight with a group of people at 118 S. Clinton St., outside the bar. He pulled out a gun and chambered a round, then handed the gun to someone else while he engaged in the fight.

After the fight, when people in the group were “a considerable distance away,” Brown brandished the gun again and shot once toward them. They ran in multiple directions, the complaint states.
No one was hit, but the bullet caused damage to the Old Capitol Town Center, the complaint states.
Brown will be extradited to Iowa to face charges.
