Cedar Rapids police investigating theft of over $200,000 worth of property from business

CEDAR RAPIDS — The Cedar Rapids Police Department is investigating a burglary and theft of over $200,000 worth of property, including several vehicles and 20 DJI brand drones, from Premier Plus Storm Team, according to a news release from the department.
Police responded to the burglary at the business, 4425 Center Point Rd. NE, on March 6.
Two people have been arrested for the theft, but the investigation is ongoing.

Levi Schutterle, 30, and Zachery Melsha, 33, both of Cedar Rapids were arrested March 8 and charged with first-degree theft, third-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit a non-forcible felony.
Melsha was found in possession of one of the vehicles stolen during the burglary. He also was identified on video from March 5 entering the business and taking over $10,000 of property from it, according to a criminal complaint. He is being held in the Linn County Jail on bonds totaling $30,000.
Schutterle also was identified from the video footage, which showed him driving away in a Ford F-150, which he was driving when he was arrested, a criminal complaint states. He is being held on a $35,000 bond.
