Cedar Rapids man charged with sexually abusing two children

CEDAR RAPIDS — A Cedar Rapids man was arrested on charges that he sexually abused two children under the age of 12.

Darryl English, 36, is charged with two counts of second-degree sexual abuse.

According to criminal complaints, English sexually abused one girl between August and October 2020, and the other between August and October 2021. Both girls later reported the abuse to a family member.

A warrant was issued for English on Thursday, and he was arrested Sunday. He’s being held in the Linn County Jail on a $50,000 bond, and no-contact orders have been filed on behalf of the victims.
