Cedar Rapids man arrested after allegedly kicking down door at Hiawatha residence

A Cedar Rapids man faces a burglary charge after authorities said he broke into a Hiawatha residence last week.
Police said Elijah D.O. Morse, 26, kicked in the door of a residence in Hiawatha while the resident was home and took her phone. According to a criminal complaint, Morse did not have permission to enter the residence.
Morse was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary, a Class C felony. He is being held at the Linn County Jail on $10,000 cash or surety bond.
