Cedar Rapids man accused of robbery after alleged pool cue attack

A Cedar Rapids man is accused of robbery after he allegedly attacked another man with a pool cue and stole his possessions.
According to the criminal complaint, officers were dispatched on December 30 to a residence in the 4500 block of Fairlane Drive NE for reports of a robbery.
Through their investigation, police determined Matthew D. Ammeter, 33, had attacked Cory Redding, 38, hitting him several times with his hands and a pool cue and causing lacerations, according to the complaint.

Police said Ammeter then took Redding's phone, debit card and approximately $250 in cash.
Ammeter faces a charge of first-degree robbery, a class-B felony.
