1 person dead, two injured in I-380 rollover

CENTER POINT — One person died and two were injured in a vehicle rollover on Interstate 380, near Center Point early Saturday morning.

Emergency responders were called to the crash, just south of Cedar Ridge Road, at 3:07 a.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. They found a white Chevy Venture van on its top in the west ditch of the southbound lanes.

Three people were in the vehicle. All three were taken to UnityPoint Health - St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. One person was pronounced dead at the hospital, the release states. The other two were being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The names of the people involved in the crash will be released later, pending notification of family. The crash remains under investigation.
