CEDAR RAPIDS — Together We Achieve’s next drive through food box giveaway event is scheduled for Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hawkeye Downs, 4400 Sixth St. SW. This is a first-come, first-served event and no registration is required. Because of ongoing pandemic precautions, please be prepared to wait in your cars patiently and maintain physical distance. Together We Achieve had the opportunity to distribute 13,454 boxes to the community in 2021 and will continue these efforts in 2022 with our 12K in 2022 program.
Calling for Volunteers
Volunteers are needed for food box assembly, which is taking place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. At the Sunday distribution event, volunteers are needed from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for loading boxes into vehicles, cleanup/hauling and traffic control.
