BERNARD — The adult-based environmental education series, OWLS (Older Wiser Livelier) is back for 2022. The first event of the year is a snowshoeing experience at White Water Canyon on Feb. 3.
The event is free to any adults; interested parties will need to reserve their spot by Friday and can request to borrow a pair of snowshoes. Organizers will need to know approximate height and weight to get you the best fit. For more information or to make a reservation, call (563) 652-3783 or email jen@jacksonccb.com.
Participants will meet at the main parking lot at 29912 Ninth Ave., Bernard, at 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 3. Be sure to dress in layers, wear sunscreen and bring water. OWLS is an adult focused environmental education joint partnership between Dubuque, Jackson and Jones County conservation.
