Pioneer and Artisan Expo and Craft Fair is Sept. 19 at Ushers Ferry

CEDAR RAPIDS — Ushers Ferry Historic Village, 5925 Seminole Valley Trail NE, is hosting a new Pioneer and Artisan Expo and Craft Fair on Sept. 19 from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is free of charge for this community event celebrating local artists and Old World skills.
The fair will feature living history demonstrations including historic food preservation, woodworking, metalworking, and textile crafts. Visitors will be able to tour the village, try some old-fashioned games and crafts, listen to live music and stories from local musicians and authors, and buy root beer and get some popcorn at the saloon.
Food vendors, craft vendors, and artisans will be displaying and selling their wares on the village grounds. Vendor space is available. Anyone who would like to participate as a vendor should contact Ushers Ferry staff at (319) 286-5763 for more information. The vendor registration fee is $15.
