The 30-foot LED panel tree is set to debut at this year’s event.
The project – a collaboration of Corridor Community Action Network, The LENA Project, Iowa City-based social justice advocate Anne Ventullo and others, with financial backing from Velvet Lotus Tattoo –is in the process of collecting toy donations to stock several distribution sites across the community this season.

The Primary Source Sets — photos, maps, documents, audio recordings and even cartoons — cover more than 65 broad topics about Iowa and its role in the broader sweep of national and world history, including the Underground Railroad, women’s suffrage, the Cold War and the Iowa caucuses.
ChildServe is doubling the size of its location in Coralville and opening its first satellite location in Hiawatha. This is a “proactive approach to investing in the children of Iowa,” ChildServe CEO Teri Wahlig said in a statement.
