Iowa City Public Art Matching Fund Program now accepting applications

IOWA CITY — The city of Iowa City Public Art Advisory Committee (PAAC) has announced that matching funds of up to $3,000 for public arts projects will be available to local artists.
Funded through the Iowa City Public Art Program, visual, audio, or performance-based art such as sculptures, murals, performances, readings, interactive exhibits, video projections, soundscapes, spoken word and other mediums will be considered. To be eligible, proposals must be for projects created by Iowa City artists that will be publicly accessible and viewable within Iowa City city limits. Art may be displayed or performed on private property with property owner permission.
Proposals will be accepted through Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. Projects are required to be completed by June 30. Final selections will be determined by members of PAAC at their March 3 meeting.
