Hear chimes of handbell concert Sunday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS — Two handbell ensembles, Carillonneurs and Tower Bells, will present a Christmas concert of sacred and secular holiday music on Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Gathering Space at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1340 Third Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids. The concert is free and open to the public.
The two handbell ensembles perform on a six-octave set (72 bells) of handbells and five-octave set (60 chimes) of handchimes. The Carillonneurs perform regularly in concerts throughout the area and have appeared on three occasions with Orchestra Iowa.
Included will be arrangements of carols "Joy to the World," "Away in a Manger," "I Wonder as I Wander" and "O Sanctissima"; secular favorites "We Need a Little Christmas," "Jingle Bells," "Holly Jolly Christmas," and other favorites.

Use the church's Second Street parking lot. The building and performance space is handicap accessible.
