Donate to book drive in Linn County for distribution on Martin Luther King Day
Jan. 12, 2022 6:00 am
LINN COUNTY — Green Iowa AmeriCorps is partnering with Linn County Conservation and other community organizations for a book drive now through Sunday. Books are being collected to distribute back into the community for residents who may have limited access to books and other educational materials.
“Our purpose is to help provide books to underrepresented communities,” says Green Iowa AmeriCorps member Michael Gartner. “We hope people will find some books they no longer use and drop them off to one of our partner locations. Together, we can help empower underserved children to read their way to a better future.”
Donations may include books about civil rights, the environment, children’s books, young adult books, fiction
