CEDAR RAPIDS — A longtime Eastern Iowa journalist is leaving KCRG TV to venture south.
KCRG shared Friday in a Facebook post that anchor Chris Earl “has decided to leave Eastern Iowa for the warm weather of Florida for a new career opportunity. We’re sad to see him go but wish him luck!”
Earl was recently part of the morning news team before being selected to succeed Bruce Aune in February 2020. Aune was with KCRG for 34 years until March 2020.
