Celebrate Camp Courageous’ 50th Anniversary at Sunday breakfast, open house

MONTICELLO — The 2022 Camp Courageous Omelet Breakfast and Open House will be on Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon as part of Camp Courageous’ 50-year celebration. It is a breakfast of made-to-order omelets served with sausage, toast, coffee, juice and milk.
Omelet cookers will make an omelet to customers’ requests with ham, cheese, green peppers and more. It is recommended one come early for this breakfast. The price is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
During the breakfast and open house, guests will be able to take guided tours of Camp Courageous. The tour will include the sill barn, nature center, train depot, camper cabins, multipurpose building, indoor pool and more. See the latest projects, including the Penaluna tunnel experience, new Butch & Patsy Neumeyer Family Road, new accessible White/Papke boat dock at Lake Todd, work in progress on Macek/Papke multipurpose field, new travel bus, new vehicle garage, and new fishing docks.

The bounce house, train rides and zip line rides ($10 per rider) also will be available throughout the breakfast for visitors to enjoy if weather permits.
The 1971 VW Bus that will be raffled on Dec. 31 will be on display in front of the lodge. Tickets are $100 apiece.
