Anamosa’s Thou Art Gallery celebrates its rebirth 5 years after fire

ANAMOSA — This Friday will be the fifth anniversary of the fire that engulfed Thou Art Gallery. The gallery has since been rebuilt and is back up and running full swing.

The gallery, at 106 East Main St. in Anamosa, will have a celebration Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. to commemorate the fire’s anniversary and also its rebirth. The event will feature music from the Funky Fillies, art activities and refreshments.

The gallery represents more than 35 local artists and was rebuilt to also be an events center with a commercial kitchen and classroom space. It hosts weekly programs for kids and adults, along with art camps throughout the year, and can play host to other special events.
