24 bicycles to be given away to area foster kids

CEDAR RAPIDS — Families Helping Families of Iowa (FHF) and the Geico Philanthropic Foundation are partnering to give away 24 brand-new bikes and helmets to local children in foster care.

The bikes, donated by the Geico Philanthropic Foundation and assembled by local Geico employees, range in sizes from 20-inch to 26-inch and are for boys and girls. Families Helping Families will draw random names to determine the winners.

Go to https://tinyurl.com/fhfbikes to enter for a chance to win. Only one entry per child and the deadline is Thursday. Winners will be notified by email.

The bike presentation to the winning children will take place on May 3 at 6 p.m. at the Families Helping Families of Iowa office, located at 6000 Seventh St. SW, Cedar Rapids. The public is invited.
