CEDAR RAPIDS — Brittany Clark loves to clean, and vehicles are her specialty.
“It's just so satisfying to see the before and afters,” she said.
Brittany’s Cleaning Services offers full interior detailing for all types of vehicles. That work includes vacuuming, shampooing, leather cleaning and conditioning, stain removal, pet hair removal, window and mirror cleaning and more.

“Pet hair can be difficult,” Clark said. “On average, pet hair removal can add two to four more hours onto your detail.”
Her most difficult job? Detailing the interior of a van used to transport llamas.
For now, Clark handles all aspects of her business. That includes booking appointments, ordering supplies, bookkeeping, messaging customers and the detailing of each vehicle.
“Multitasking, making sure I don't miss any messages, emails or ordering supplies, can be a lot of work but very rewarding,” Clark said. “I enjoy what I do every day, and I feel good knowing that I was the only person to touch your vehicle throughout your detail.”
Clark, who has 15 years experience in cleaning, works on vehicles in a shop she set up in southeast Cedar Rapids. She also tries to take before and after photos for her customers.
“I love owning my own business,” she said. “It gives me the freedom to make my own schedule and be home with my bonus son when I need to be. My husband and family have been so supportive.”
Those interested in making an appointment can use the company’s website or message the company through Facebook.
“I use these platforms as I’m usually busy detailing the vehicles all day so it can be hard to stop and answer a phone.”
Clark noted social media has helped her grow her customer base.
Winter, she said, can be a slower season for her business.
“I go from six to eight cars a week to an average of three to five,” she said. “I rely a lot on referrals during this time to keep my business steady.”
And she loves seeing her customers happy.
“What sets me apart from others is the truly small business feel of Brittany’s Cleaning Services,” she said. “From the first time you message me to book an appointment, to the day you drop off/pick up your clean car, I will be your only point of contact.
“I take pride in being the person each customer talks to, ensuring that they are happy and satisfied when they drive home in their clean vehicle. I talk face to face with each customer. … I love seeing them leave with a smile. It gives me a great sense of accomplishment.
“I enjoy serving my community and hope people in Cedar Rapids and the surrounding area see me as a business you can make use of again and again.”
