WEST LIBERTY — Liberty Communications Corp., an Eastern Iowa broadband provider, has announced a partnership with Midwest Data Center, a Missouri-based IT services and consulting company.
This partnership allows Liberty to provide “a 360-degree internet, voice and IT solution to small and mid-sized businesses” in Eastern and southeast Iowa, Liberty CEO Justin Stinson said.
“In today’s interconnected world, a strong IT solution is just as critical as a fast, reliable internet connection — but not all organizations have the resources to do this in-house,” he said in a statement.

“Together with Midwest Data, we can fill that gap and lend support from all angles of their business. It’s a service we’ve been wanting to provide for years, and one that can scale as we grow.”
In addition to Liberty’s fiber internet, data transport, managed Wi-Fi, hosted voice, and analog and digital phone line services, businesses now can receive IT services through Midwest Data Center, such as dark web monitoring, workstation management, cloud backup and recovery, and more.
Liberty Communications is a private, family-owned company which has been in the Melick family since 1907. Its service area covers West Branch, West Liberty and the surrounding area.
Primarily an ILEC (Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier) business during much of its history, Liberty has built “a world-class fiber optics network that rivals even the larger industry players,” Stinson said.
Midwest Data Center, established in 2003 and now with nearly 60 IT employees, provides consulting and a range of managed IT services to businesses across the country. It is based in Rock Port, Mo.
