West Des Moines-based Hy-Vee on Tuesday debuted a subsidiary that provides telehealth and online pharmacy services and ships prescribed treatments directly to patients throughout the United States.
“RedBox Rx makes it easy for people to get the treatment they need by offering quick, easy and discreet access to a provider who can prescribe prescription medication that is then shipped for free directly to the patient,” the grocery and pharmacy store chain said in a news release.
“This low-cost service bypasses insurance and offers treatment plans for men’s health, women’s health, hair and skin, mental health, migraine headaches, primary care and more.
RedBox Rx is available to patients ages 18 and older, the release said.
Telehealth consultation and treatment will be provided in partnership with Austin, Texas-based Reliant Immune Diagnostics, with fees from free up to $39, the company said.
Patients may user their health savings account or flexible spending account to pay for telehealth visits or prescription costs.
RedBox Rx does not accept insurance, according to the release.
