Integrated DNA Technologies named Demaris Mills as its next president, marking the first time a woman has led the Coralville-based maker of nucleic acid products.
Mills had been the president of Phenomenex, which is part of the same parent corporation Danaher, based in Washington, D.C., and sells various pharmaceutical products.
“This is an exciting time as IDT expands its products and service offerings to become the global leader in genomics applications that advance research and clinical care around the world,” Mills said in a news release.
She replaced Trey Martin, who now works in Danaher’s genomic medicine division.
Founded in 1987 as a University of Iowa spinoff, Integrated DNA Technologies sold to Danaher in 2018.
