Iowa poets to share their work April 28 at CSPS

CEDAR RAPIDS — In celebration of National Poetry Month, Next Page Books and CSPS will present “An Evening with Page & Performance Poets” at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 28 in the CSPS Hall, 1103 Third St. SE. This one-time event will feature 10 of the area’s outstanding published, page, performance and emerging poets gathered under one roof for a spectacular night of spoken word.
Featured poets include Brooke Dixon, Glenn Freeman, Mackie Garrett, Shirley Hilton, Laura Johnson, Amal Kassir, Caleb “The Negro Artist” Rainey, Lisa Roberts, Seth Speaks and Genevieve Trainor.
The event is free. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and drinks (beer, wine, and cocktails) will be available for purchase at the CSPS bar.
