Conference announces entire all-conference teams

CEDAR RAPIDS — The Wamac Conference has announced its all-conference boys’ basketball teams, with Padraig Gallagher of Dyersville Beckman is the East Division Player of the Year and Derek Weisskopf of Williamsburg is the West Division POY.
A junior, Gallagher led the East Division in scoring (20.4 points per game) and rebounding (8.5 per game). Just a sophomore, Weisskopf helped Williamsburg go undefeated in conference play, averaging 15.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
Gallagher was joined by teammate Logan Goedken on the East Division all-conference team. Marion also had two members selected in guards Brayson Laube and Alex Mota.

West Delaware’s Blake DeMoss, Solon’s Kinnick Pusteoska and Maquoketa’s Tye Hardin also were picked. All were unanimous choices by conference coaches.
Goedken, DeMoss and Pusteoska are seniors, Laube and Mota juniors and Hardin a sophomore.
In the West Division, joining Weiskopff on the first team are Williamsburg’s Ethan Harman and Jake Weber, Clear Creek-Amana’s Kyle Schrepfer and Ben Swails, Independence’s Michael Kascel and Benton Community’s Aiden Harris. All are seniors, with the exception of Harman, who is a junior.
