DES MOINES - The only undefeated team in Class 3A remained that way Tuesday afternoon. Looked real good doing it, too.
Bondurant-Farrar put four players in double-figures scoring and beat up Algona, 81-52, in a state tournament quarterfinal at Wells Fargo Arena.
The Bluejays (24-0) are top seeded and top ranked for a reason, displaying good size and skill here, taking over the game with a 28-point second quarter. Cole Miller scored a team-high 18 points, followed closely by Colby Collison with 15.

Algona (17-8), a surprise state tourney qualifier that finished fourth in its conference, was led by Caden Weber with 13 points and Alex Manske with 12.
NORTH POLK 49, NEWTON 31 - North Polk’s tempo, and North Polk’s victory.
Reggie Postel scored 21 points as the fifth-seeded Comets (20-5) beat fourth-seeded Newton in a 3A game that very much was a half-court affair. A slog at times.
Newton shot just 33.3 percent from the field to North Polk’s 38.8. The Comets got off to an 11-2 lead after a quarter, and it was 25-12 at the half.
Caleb Matters led Newton (17-7) with 11 points.
ROLAND-STORY 60, CARROLL KUEMPER 52 - Luke Patton put together a whale of a game to move along his second-seeded Norsemen.
The 6-foot-5 senior scored 25 points and grabbed 22 rebounds as Roland-Story (25-1) overcame a four-point halftime deficit. The Norsemen also got a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds from Jonovan Wilkinson.
Kuemper (18-7) was led by Carson Kanne’s 12 points. Roland-Story plays Western Christian (21-3) in a Class 2A semifinal Thursday afternoon at 12:15.
