DES MOINES - Omaha Biliew. That’s all you need to know.
The five-star Iowa State recruit scored 24 points in 25 minutes as second-ranked, second-seeded Waukee beat seventh-seeded Ames, 58-40, Wednesday morning in a Class 4A state tournament quarterfinal at Wells Fargo Arena.
Biliew made 10 of his 15 shots from the field, including his only attempted 3-pointer, showing off the size (6-foot-8) and incredible athleticism that made him one of the country’s top college recruits.

Mason Costello added 10 points for Waukee (23-2), which faces third-ranked Waukee Northwest (22-2) in a Friday night semifinal. The teams split their two games in the regular season.
Jack Wynter had 12 points to lead Ames (18-8).
WAUKEE NORTHWEST 55, ANKENY CENTENNIAL 37 - Iowa Hawkeyes recruit Pryce Sandfort scored 24 points and had nine rebounds as Northwest won comfortably.
Sandfort uncharacteristically made just two of his seven 3-point attempts, but did work everywhere else. The teams were tied after the first quarter, with the third-seeded, third-ranked Wolves gradually pulling away.
Drew Schreurs had 12 points and Nick Vaske 10 for No. 6 seed Centennial (16-8).
WEST DES MOINES VALLEY 63, NORWALK 48 - Zay Robinson led a quartet of double-figures scorers with 14 points as fourth-seeded Valley beat No. 5 Norwalk.
The Tigers, who play Pleasant Valley in the semifinals, used a 14-5 second quarter to take a 31-18 lead and never really look back.
Kiki Deng added 13 points for Valley (19-5), Trevin Jirak and Curtis Stinson 12 each, with Jirak grabbing 10 rebounds. Valley starts four sophomores.
Redek Born led Norwalk (20-4) with 17 points.
GRAND VIEW CHRISTIAN 68, WEST HARRISON 50 - Josh Sanderson went off for 41 points as top-ranked, top-seeded GVC won.
Sanderson had 28 points in the first half as Grand View Christian (26-0) rolled to a 46-16 halftime lead. West Harrison (24-2) dramatically cut the deficit to 11 in the third quarter, but GVC held on for the win and a finals appearance against either North Linn or Remsen St. Mary’s.
Sage Evans led West Harrison with 17 points.
