Iowa high school baseball rankings: 6 Wamac Conference teams ranked or receiving votes
Cedar Rapids Xavier and Lansing Kee are ranked second in 3A and 1A, respectively; Iowa City High is third in 4A; Fourth-ranked Marion leads strong Wamac

The Wamac Conference is flexing its muscle early in the season. The conference has six teams ranked or receiving votes in the latest installment of the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association state rankings released Monday.
Marion is one of five teams listed in Class 3A and leads the way at fourth. Clear Creek Amana has handled teams, including a sweep of Marion, and cracked the rankings at No. 6. Independence and West Delaware are both 8-1 with their losses coming to each other. The Mustangs are eighth and the Hawks are No. 10.
Center Point-Urbana (7-2) has not lost to a 3A school and received votes. Dyersville Beckman, which is in its last season in the Wamac, is sixth in 2A.

Interestingly, Grinnell is going to replace Beckman and is ranked third in 3A.
Cedar Rapids Xavier (3A) and Lansing Kee (1A) lead Gazette-area teams with No. 2 rankings.
Iowa City High (4A), Mid-Prairie (2A) and North Linn (1A) are ranked each third.
Cedar Rapids Prairie is ranked ninth in 4A and Lisbon enters the rankings at seventh in 1A, closing out the Linn County contingent.
