Iowa high school state baseball 2022 updated brackets, schedule, scores for 3A and 4A tournaments

The 2022 Iowa high school state baseball tournament returns to the University of Iowa’s Duane Banks Field in Iowa City for the Class 3A and Class 4A brackets.

Eight teams in each of the state’s larger two classes advanced with wins in substate finals. Then, the participating coaches seeded the state tournament fields.

Both 4A and 3A will have new champions after their reigning winners, Pleasant Valley and Marion, fell in substate finals. Johnston, last year’s runner-up and the 2020 champion, is the top seed in 4A. Davenport Assumption earned the No. 1 seed in 3A.

The 1A and 2A tournaments will be played at Merchants Park in Carroll.

Here are the 3A and 4A pairings and schedules released by the Iowa High School Athletic Association. This post will be updated with scores and pairings throughout the week.
