The 2022 Iowa high school state baseball tournament returns to Carroll’s Merchants Park for the Class 1A and Class 2A brackets.
Eight teams in each of the state’s smaller two classes advanced with wins in substate finals. Then, the participating coaches seeded the state tournament fields.
Three-time defending champion Van Meter is the top seed in the 2A bracket. Class 1A will have a new champion after Council Bluffs St. Albert won last year’s title. Remsen St. Mary’s is the No. 1 seed.
