Mount Vernon High School grad Austin Ash walked on to the Iowa Hawkeyes basketball team his freshman year. He didn’t play much in his five-year Iowa career, but had the desire to see if he could be an important player somewhere. That somewhere turned out to be The Citadel in Charleston, S.C.
Former Iowa men’s basketball player Austin Ash is getting put on a full-ride scholarship by The Citadel for his final season of eligibility.
