Mount Vernon High School grad Austin Ash walked on to the Iowa Hawkeyes basketball team his freshman year. He didn’t play much in his five-year Iowa career, but had the desire to see if he could be an important player somewhere. That somewhere turned out to be The Citadel in Charleston, S.C.
