Teen stabbed by a sibling at Marion residence, police say
Sibling was arrested and faces multiple assault charges

MARION — Police are investigating after a teen was found stabbed at a residence in Marion.
Officers responded at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday to an unknown emergency at a residence in the 200 block of Third Avenue in Marion. When they arrived, they found a teen had been stabbed by a sibling. Police said the two are between 13 and 17 years old.
The injured youth was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police said the injury did not appear to be life-threatening.

Police said the teen who was responsible for the attack was seen at the hospital and later was arrested and taken to Linn County Juvenile Detention.
The teen faces charges of assault causing serious injury and two counts of assault on persons of certain occupations.
Police declined to provide any further details.
