One hurt in southeast Cedar Rapids shooting
One person has been hospitalized following a shooting on Cedar Rapids' southeast side.
The shooting happened in the 1400 block of Seventh Avenue SE shortly before 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
Officers on the scene said one person was injured and taken to an area hospital. The extent of the person's injuries is not known at this time.
Crime scene tape is currently blocking off a portion of the street, as well as an area around several homes.
