Iowa: The 28th-ranked college football team of the 2010s

This is a little morsel to get this Game Day going.
We're two years and three games into the 2010s as far as college football is concerned.
Although Iowa's record in the decade is a none-too-amazing 17-12, the Hawkeyes have had the 28th-most votes in Associated Press football polls since the start of the 2010 season. Looking at the teams immediately behind Iowa, it appears like it will stay in 28th for a while.
The Hawkeyes got those points in 2010. They were ranked 9th in the preseason, were 9th in the first two polls after that, and stayed in the Top 25 until the Nov. 28 poll. Iowa has not been ranked since.

Iowa's rank in the 2000s was 23rd. I thought it would be higher, but the seasons were either feast or famine when it came to being ranked. Iowa was a mainstay in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2009. Other years, not so much.
Total Points in the AP Poll : 2000s
Iowa was 30th in the 1990s, 23rd in the 1980s, 20th in the 1960s, 13th in the 1950s. It never got a single vote in the 1970s, understandable since it didn't have a winning season that entire decade.
