Donutland coming back to former Cedar Rapids location

CEDAR RAPIDS — All signs point to a new Donutland location.

A social media post from MediaQuest Signs on Feb. 11 gave doughnut lovers a preview of the new sign installed at 2606 Williams Blvd. SW in Cedar Rapids: a former Donutland location that sports an orange roof matching the font on the sign. Donutland has not been in that spot since at least 2005, when Cranky Hank’s moved in for a stint until it closed in December 2014.

So far, Donutland has been mum on the new location’s opening date.

The location would be Donutland’s second full-service, stand-alone location in Cedar Rapids, and its fifth location overall in the Corridor. In addition to its Center Point Road NE location open since 1971, it offers doughnuts at Lu’s Deli on Third Street SE, Press Coffee Company in Coralville and Uptown Coffee Company in Marion.
