Even the storm of the century won't stop this Golden Anniversary! On Aug. 29, 1970, Sherry Miller and David (Jake) Ewers were united in marriage in Keokuk, IA and began their journey together. Though Mom and Dad/Grandma and Pops started in Keokuk, they spent most of their marriage in Lone Tree and recently settled in Cedar Rapids.
They were blessed with three loving sons, Jason, Josh and Andy. The family of five shared many
adventures together and continue to enjoy a very strong bond. Later in life, Jake and Sherry hit the jackpot again with three pretty terrific grandkids, Jacob, Olivia and James. (And the writers of this, their daughters-in-law Sherie and Andrea, feel rather fortunate in the in-law department, if you know what they mean!) They love spending time with all of their family and vice versa, and keep so busy with their many friends, hobbies and renovation projects that some of us don't know how they have any free time at all!
Even if COVID is putting a damper on the fun and festivities for now, we are all hoping for a belated "50 Plus 1 Is More Fun!" party next year. We shall tip our glasses to what a marriage done right looks like! We all love you both, Grandma and Pops.
