Candace Pardee - Celebrating 17 Years of Military Retirement

Candace Pardee, PNC(AW), USN-RET, celebrates 17 years of military retirement on Veteran's Day 2019 onboard the Carnival Legend with fellow retirees, Shawn Arend, CWO2, USN-RET and Brian Williams, YNCS(SW/AW), USN-RET.
Candace Pardee entered the US Navy on 24 April 1981 in Flint, MI at age 21 and retired on 31 October 2002 onboard the USS DECATUR DDG-73, homeported in San Diego, CA at age 43.
They are taking an eight-day/seven-night Caribbean cruise out of Tampa, FL. You can take the Sailor out of the Navy, but you can't take the Navy out of the Sailor. This Salty Shellback loves the sunrises and sunsets at sea they are truly spectacular.
Candace served in three war deployments: Iran/Iraq 1987/1988, Dessert Shield/Dessert Storm 1990/1991, Operation Noble Eagle on 9/11 and deployed November 2001 to June 2002 for Operation Enduring Freedom.

Candace has one son, Zachary W.K. Quebral, who is a Florida State University Graduate in Marketing and a Theta Chi (OX) Fraternity Brother. Zachary is a Sales and Marketing Manager for Elplast America in Marion. He resides in Los Angeles, CA. Candace is employed with Collins Community Credit Union in Cedar Rapids as the Assistant Vice President Learning & Development Department Manager.
