‘Napoleon Dynamite’ stars coming to Cedar Rapids’ Paramount Theatre for special screening

Feb. 12, 2020 1:43 pm
CEDAR RAPIDS - Grab your ChapStick, some tots and a quesadilla. The stars of 'Napoleon Dynamite” are coming to the Paramount Theatre on Sept. 27. The evening features a screening of the classic 2004 indie film, plus a Q&A with stars Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Efren Ramirez (Pedro) and Jon Gries (Uncle Rico).
Set in small-town Preston, Idaho, the movie tells the story of awkward teen Napoleon Dynamite, who has trouble fitting in. After his grandmother is injured in an accident, his life is made even worse when his strangely nostalgic uncle Rico shows up to keep an eye on him. With no safe haven at home or at school, Napoleon befriends the new kid, Pedro, a morose Hispanic boy who speaks little English. Together, the two launch a campaign to run for class president.
Tickets are $35 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday (2/14) at the Paramount Ticket Office, creventsLive.com or (319) 366-8203. Add $125 for a VIP package to meet the stars and receive a signed poster and a photo with them.
