Turn toilet paper tubes into a bird
With everyone staying at home all the time, I bet you are running through a lot of toilet paper. Save some toilet paper tubes for this fun bird craft. You can also cut a paper towel tube in half or use it to make a very tall bird. We got this idea from the Dickinson County Conservation board. They have a lot of really fun craft ideas and animal facts on their website, dickinsoncountyconservationboard.com/just-for-kids.
What you will need:
' 1 toilet paper tube
' Crayons or markers
' Glue or tape
' Paper
' Scissors
How to make your birds:
What kind of bird will you make? An owl? A Red-winged Blackbird? Or are you going to invent your own birds? Once you know, draw a beak and eyes on the front of your bird. I like to draw a V for the beak. Make sure you color in the chest.
Then, cut a circle from your paper. Cut that circle in half. Boom. You have two wings for your bird.
Attach the wings to either side of the bird with glue or tape.
Enjoy your homemade birds!
