Iowa Ideas 2020 replay: School-Business Partnerships

Oct 26, 2020 at 12:01 am

After getting real momentum behind building school-business partnerships, the COVID-19 pandemic brought traditional work and learning experiences to a halt last spring. How can the state regain the momentum behind the school-business partnerships that were blossoming across the state? How have groups pivoted or adjusted? We'll check in with some of the school-business partnerships we've introduced at Iowa Ideas through the years.

Panelists include: Marc Benedict, Facilitator of No Boundaries; Jill Janes, Coordinator Boone Edge, Michell Hill, Director of Waukee APEX, Mike Kuennen BIG North - New Hampton High School, Laurie Worden, Workplace Learning Connection, Kirkwood Community College. Moderator: Jeff Weld, Executive Director Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council.

This session was part of the 2020 Iowa Ideas Conference presented by ITC and held Oct. 15-16, 2020. This session originally occurred at 2-3 p.m. on Oct. 15, 2020. This session was presented with assistance from Workforce Track sponsor CorridorCareers. The two-day conference hosted by The Gazette brings together policy makers, experts and community members passionate about the state's future. For more, visit www.iowaideas.com.
