Through the collaboration of sponsors ITC Midwest and UFG, the Iowa Ideas Scholarship Program will offer over 35 full conference tickets to k-12 and higher education students.
Submissions are due May 31 and applicants will be notified in June. Scholarship recipients will have full conference access, including the ability to network and share ideas with fellow attendees.
“We frequently hear that conversations looking at the state’s future would be better if future generations were in the room,” said Gazette Executive Editor Zack Kucharski. “We’re trying to do everything we can to make that happen. The experience will be filled with a lot of opportunities to interact with state and thought leaders, and I’d encourage students to apply and take part.”
The 2019 Iowa Ideas Conference will feature 11 themed tracks with over 200 panelists. Former Iowa Governor and one-time presidential candidate Tom Vilsack was recently confirmed as this year’s conference keynote. Conference themes include: Agriculture, Diversity and Inclusion, Education, Energy and Environment, Health Care, Human and Social Services, Infrastructure, Policy, Regional Development, Workforce and Young Professional. Session details will be added to the online schedule in coming weeks.
A limited number of Iowa Ideas full conference tickets are now available for purchase at the rate of $100.
